Prof. Anastase Shyaka
Prof. Anastase Shyaka, the director Rwanda governance board called on Rwandan youths and students to desist from abusing drugs and concentrate on constructive activities that build their future and nation.
The call was made on November 28th during the meeting with residents of Rutaraka, Nyagatare and Barija cells.
In his address, he strongly urged the residents to report any drug dealers who target young people.
“Drugs can become central to a person’s life and can affect their personal relationships, ability to study and work, mental health and quality of life,”
Professor reminded residents that a home that takes dry gin is always in conflicts that hinder social-economic development.
“Let’s drink milk that we have and leave the drugs because all it does is destroy our lives. Avoid this drug if you ever dream of family development,” he lamented.
Jeanne d’arc Uwimanimpaye, Deputy Speaker in charge of legal affairs and control of government actions, also stated that it’s shameful for one to sell crops and milk produce but spend all the money on drugs rather than saving for the future.
